Is there a minimum age to participate?
The are no age limitations. The ability to perform CPR is based more on body strength and ability to retain the information. Studies have shown children as young as 9 have been successful learning CPR.
How long does it take to receive my card?
AHA cards are delivered electronically to the email address provided at the time of registration. The cards will be processed and delivered within 48 hours. However, in most cases they you will receive them the same day as your class.
How long are the classes?
Although the time needed for each class varies based on the certification type, generally a full classroom based class will be completed in 2-3 hours. The skills portion of the blended learning classes will take about 30 minutes to 1 hour.
How long is my certification good for?
AHA certification is good for 2 years. Your card will expire on the last day of the same month that you received it 2 years prior.
